研究领域:

利用微区分析技术,通过分析火成岩矿物中熔体包裹体以及矿物的微区物质成分,结合全岩的主量元素、微量元素以及同位素组成,综合研究火成岩的成因与源区母岩的组成及性质、地幔物质演化及深部动力学机制。

   主要成就

1.建立了熔体包裹体、激光剥蚀-高分辨率等离子体质谱仪和激光剥蚀-多接收等离子体质谱仪实验室,建立了微区原位元素和同位素分析方法。

2. 提出了夏威夷地幔柱化学结构的新模型。《Nature》杂志邀请国际著名岩石学家C. Herzberg教授专门针对该成果撰写评论文章。该文肯定其研究成果,并认为该研究为岩石学成因研究提供了新的视角 (Herzberg, 2005)

3. 首次在海南玄武岩中发现拉斑玄武质的熔体包裹体和碱性玄武质熔体包裹体同时存在于同一个岩石样品中,提出海南玄武岩的源区母岩为再循环的洋壳物质和地幔柱橄榄岩反应形成的辉石岩。并提出来源于深度不同、部分熔融程度不同的地幔熔融区产生的碱性玄武质和拉班玄武质的熔体,上升进入到上方岩浆房中发生不一致的岩浆混合形成了各种组成不同的岩浆,喷出地表后形成了海南玄武岩。

4. 提出太平洋板块俯冲引起的地幔对流,弧后拉张作用和地幔柱物质上涌的共同作用造成华北克拉通减薄-破坏的新模型。

5. 根据峨眉山熔体包裹体中的含硫量,提出快速、大量排放至大气中的含硫气体引起火山冬天的气候,导致瓜德鲁普统末生物灭绝事件的发生。

6.限定了峨眉山大火成岩省高、中、低钛玄武岩原生岩浆成分,揭示了其源区属性,提出了新的峨眉山地幔柱模型。
