Microbial degradation of soil and sediment organic contaminants
Stable isotope probing and metagenomics as tools for identifying bacteria degrading contaminants in situ
Phytoremediation of metal contaminated soil and sediment

Bioremediation of metals and organic pollutants contaminated soils and waters based on plant-microbe interactions. The use of molecular methods to identify and quantify the microorganisms responsible for organic pollutants degradation. Previous research has focused on the study of plant metal uptake mechanism and phytoremediation of heavy metal contaminated soils using hyperaccumulator and chelant-enhanced phytoextraction.
